Microsoft ACE logo

I made a new logo for Microsoft’s Application Consulting and Engineering (ACE) Team. For the initial sketches, I tried to convey metaphors of speed and accuracy, which is the core nature of what this group does, with an image that looks like a time piece as well as had an enclosing form which “protects.”

In the end, the client was more concerned with having a mark that was more literal and as similar as possible to existing Microsoft identities.
