Is a good, old-fashioned piece of canvas getting that expensive these days? Probably not, but Ben Wilson’s laundry bill might. He lays down on the sidewalk and paints tiny pieces of discarded chewing gum. I love to read stories like this. Crazy people doing crazy things and not giving a shit. Big up to you Ben, you Juicy Fruit! He has apparently begun drawing in fans as a Flickr gallery has sprung up here.

…and the skinny guy with the black power hair who was dressed like his mom picked out his clothes for school pictures just blew me away with his sick guitar-playing.

“At Google our mission is to organize the world’s information and make it useful and accessible to our users. But any piece of information’s usefulness derives, to a depressing degree, from the cognitive ability of the user who’s using it. That’s why we’re pleased to announce Google Gulp (BETA)â„¢ with Auto-Drinkâ„¢ (LIMITED RELEASE), a line of “smart drinks” designed to maximize your surfing efficiency by making you more intelligent, and less thirsty.”
Smells like a fishy April Fool’s gag, but I enjoyed it for a hot second. One thing is for sure, they are upping the gigabytage on gmail accounts – pretty soon, my machine won’t need a hard drive, I’ll just use their servers.

Either Sonia or Yuri are responsible for this gallery of Russian Anti-Alcohol posters. Don’t go too far away though, because she has quite a comprehensive portfolio (as does he).

“Buy a celebrity’s soul and get connected!” The innovative salespeople over at Buy Souls (dot con) are offering all sorts of exciting bargains on celebrity souls. I was actually surprised to see some of the celebrities’ souls available as I had imagined they would be long gone to the devil. Anyhow, I think The Strokes is a great bargain because you actually get 4 souls for the price of one!

Thomas Jefferson’s Virginia estate, Monticello, is getting axed from the tail of the popular 5¢ piece, affectionately referred to as “the Nickel.” The All American bison, or buffalo, will return to the back of the coin reclaiming it’s place for the first time since 1938. Apparently, the new Buffalo Burger craze has bled over to coin enthusiasts as well as federal U.S. Mint designers (known internally as Da Minty Fresh Crew).
Did you know that obverse is the fancy name for the head’s side of a coin (reverse being tails)? Check out the NPR Real Audio interview if you have the chance, there are some interesting factoids about Jefferson, bison, and coins in general. Or go directly to the U.S. Mint and start feeding your coin collecting disorder.

A crew of topless Aboriginal women throw a bachelor party for Britain’s Prince Charles in the Australian outback today. However, my inside source has confirmed he’s still an “ass man.” Play on, playa.

Yahoo celebrates 10 years of virtual, cyberspaced-out world domination via the internet by knocking off Jonathan Harris of Number 27 and his kick-ass 10×10 piece. In all fairness, big up to Señor Marketing Vice President, Mr. Moneybags Yahoo for offering members a FREE scoop of birthday ice cream today. Only in America are things either expensive or free.
See what Yahoo looked like back in 1995.

In the great tradition of movie/film stars we love to hate, yet hate to love behind closed doors, the bone-breaking, locked-jawed, pony-tailed sensé of the silver screen Steven Segal opens his life up to us grasshoppers through his jam-packed site. Highlights include an official mp3 page full of Real Audio files, a webstore containing his “essential” oils, pashminas, bracelets, etc, as well as a slew of other fascinating click-a-ronis. Whoa! Nelly, pop culture weirdness, heeelp!

...and definitely hotter than french fries, Étienne Bardelli rocks the house with some of the freshest work I’ve seen since, uh, well, in a long damn time! The usability/interactivity of the site leaves a bit to be desired, but the work itself is stellar. No, it’s inter-stellar. Wait, it’s super-hyper-inter stellar. Booyakasha! Go and check out akroe.

P.S.
